Who Am I?

My name is Md Afjal Ansari.

I am a DevOps Engineer with over 5 years of experience in the IT industry. I hold a BCA, an Advanced Diploma in Software Engineering, and I am an AWS Certified Architect (Amazon Web Services).

But none of that is why I started FairJob.in.

I started FairJob.in because I struggled to get my first job.

For over 5 years, I applied to hundreds of roles. I faced endless rejection, fake consultancies, and confusing advice. I learned what works and what fails – the hard way.

And before my IT career, I spent 4 years preparing for the UPSC Civil Services Examination with Public Administration as my optional subject. That journey taught me discipline, patience, and how to handle pressure – but also how broken career guidance really is for young Indians.

That’s the real story behind this website. Not a marketing pitch. Just experience.

My Journey: From Job Seeker to Career Mentor

🔹 4 Years of UPSC Preparation (Public Administration Optional)

For four years, I immersed myself in the UPSC syllabus – Public Administration, polity, governance, ethics. I learned how to analyse complex problems, write structured answers, and stay consistent for years.

That preparation didn’t lead to a rank. But it gave me two things:

1. A deep understanding of how government recruitment and public sector hiring work.
2. The ability to break down complicated career paths into simple, actionable steps.

🔹 5+ Years of IT Industry Experience (DevOps & Cloud)

After UPSC, I pivoted to technology. I completed my BCA, an Advanced Diploma in Software Engineering, and earned my AWS Architect certification.

I worked as a DevOps Engineer for over 5 years. I’ve built cloud infrastructure, automated deployments, and solved real production problems.

But more importantly for this website – I’ve sat on both sides of the hiring table.

• I’ve been the candidate who applied to 200+ jobs, faced rejections, and finally cracked interviews.
• I’ve also been the technical reviewer who screens resumes, takes interviews, and decides whether a fresher gets a call.
